Shadowstorm Slayer
(They turned Sloane inactive!!!!! So no table for this post for me)

<i>"If you even dare think of giving Nina any trouble I'll be on you like flees on a wolf, understood?" </i> Shadowstorm knew he could never understand what Shadowstorm herself had gone through. She wasn't going to give Nina trouble. Not after everything that had happened to help her. <b>"I'm not going to give her trouble.</b> She said. Follko had asked of her history in Ghastly Woods. She remembered the words she'd said to him.

<i>"My tale isn't heroic, or nice as your history I'm sure. But I'll tell you anyways since you're my friend. I was born to adestinct pair of Lone Wolves that to be honest. Hated other wolves. My brother Shade and I started training to survive in a place far from Relic Lore called Death Pine Forest. The first lesson my father taught us, even though I now, after seeing the strength of packs, was Packs are weak, bottomfeeding losers that couldn't take care of themselves, so they hung together and shared food. He specifically told us never to join a pack, or we would taint our blood line. MY brother tried to object as he was the more reasonable one, my father beat him. I tried to get him to stop, he beat me. My father was a cruel, mean steel wall. Whenever I did something wrong, he beat me as a punishment. My mother eventually stepped in, conquering her fear of my father. She was too beaten. It got worse. During my final 'test' , a hunting assignment before I was to go off an live my life. My mother and fahter were attacked by a group of two or three lone wolves. Out of fright, I ran for his life. I thought all my family to be dead. My grandparents gone. My father was an only child, same as my mum as far as I know, I thought my brother Shade was in dead. But truth is he joined a pack called Willow Ridge. Odd, after all these years, he went against my father's teachings. By the end of our lessons. He was set on the goal of never being in a pack ever."</i>

(So sorry for the long absence, but I'm back!)

This fae would not be turned away to die, but she would not be welcomed with open paws either. She had not made a steller first impression and her turnabout was suspect with her life threatening injury. It was not like Sloane to be on the offensive with any wolf not directly attacking him, but this fae had insulted all of them in no uncertain terms. He let it go in one ear and out the other in regards to himself, but she had been arrogant and rude to his friends and packmates as well, when all they were trying to do was have a civil conversation and then help her. Now she said all the right things, but would it last? Time would tell, but she had far to go with all of them, by the looks on the faces of his pack mates. Kashikoi's words after the departure of Ruiko and Nina's hard look only confirmed it.

His own amber eyes dark with distrust, but he nodded when Kashikoi made the decision. He was second only to the Alphas and Sloane respected the young Healer already. He gave a quick nod and moved over to stand on the other side of the black fae, Shadowstorm. He towered over both her and Kashikoi and he was uncertain if this would work. The small injured fae would likely tumble into his legs, rather than be supported by his shoulder. Nina would be the better choice size-wise, but there was no way that he would let her or her leg take the strain of supporting the injured wolf.

With a look at Kashikoi, he dipped his russet and cream head in respect before suggesting, "Perhaps Nina had the right of it and carrying might be the better route." He looke down at the fae again and her head barely reached the shoulder of his over-sized self. He had grown even more in his time here at relic lore and his height and breadth were.... considerable. "I can easily support her weight back to the pack if you can help to... situate... her upon my back."

This morning she had been put through much pain going through her own physical therapy, sleep had not been welcoming her, and after each aching minute the pain in her leg would grow worse, causing her back to hurt from all the support she was trying to give her leg. She didn’t like to snap at people, but when Kashikoi made a rude comment, she didn’t care about his rank for that second, and so she turned and said, "Kashikoi! Mind your manners." Even if it was for the skinny little bitch that she had healed, she just grew to the point of not caring. Her tail lashed behind her, giving them the sign that she was aggravated and that she didn’t want to be spoken to.

She knew she couldn’t leave them until they all transferred Shadowstorm back into the den safely, but the urge to just turn away to go and sleep nagged at the back of her mind quietly. Sloane’s voice pierced through her silence and her head turned slightly to look at him. He seemed to be developing quite well within the pack already, something that pleased her. The male had much of her respect already, but it would seem something would bother her greatly. She didn’t know his story well enough, she knew him. . .but she didn’t at the same time. Her tail curled itself and her voice rang clearly towards them, "Can we make a decision soon please?"

It soon became apparent that Sloane was correct and that the side by side plan was a failure. As he was trying to resolve a way to situate the black wolf on Sloane's back Nina's voice snapped at him. Nina always had that way with words where she could make it feel like a wolf was biting your spine with fangs of ice. It always froze people in place from the sheer shock of it. "Sorry Nina I just don't want anymore mistakes to happen that will make our pack suffer..." He moved away from the black's side as he put his head under her front legs and lifted trying to drape them over Sloane's back. Man were all female wolves this heavy?

(I'm gonna wrap this up, I'd say one more round of posting ending with Kashi?)

Shadowstorm growled, she wasn't going to be carried, she wasn't that weak, she stood, little weight put on her bad leg and limped forward, she would prove she wasn't weakness to the pack. No, she was STRONG. She waited for them. "You coming?" She asked, it was a good thing she was hiding her pain, or else they would have made sure to escort her, but why? They hated her. Sure it may be right to help someone, but she was cruel. and rude. Why help her?

A terrible memory... "My tale isn't heroic, or nice as your history I'm sure. But I'll tell you anyways since you're my friend. I was born to adestinct pair of Lone Wolves that to be honest. Apologies ahead of time for the power play. I wanted to finish the thread so everyone could collect their points. <3

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/bluepups/NinaTable.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding-top: 312px; padding-bottom: 20px; padding-left: 15px; padding-right: 15px; text-align:justify;">The bickering behind her drove her to no ends, her emerald eye glowing dangerously in the dim light. Her lips twitched back into a slight growl as she heard the next words that came out of the black female’s mouth. Her legs whirled around, back towards the gathered her tail stiff. She was usually a kind wolf, that kept others in check, but right now she knew she should be keeping herself in check, but it didn’t matter to her at the moment, she was tired, and wanted to finish this to be left alone. Her teeth gleamed as she snapped at the two who spoke, her eye not daring to look at Sloane. Had she not made her orders clear? Shadowstorm was to be carried back to the area where they would stay, not walk. And that was why when she spoke, her teeth clamped together with each word, snapping, "That is enough arguing! Be carried there was no point in me healing your leg." Her growl was vicious, not something she had ever shared with any of her pack mates.

Though she hadn’t doubted they would not have listened they did do what she asked. Her instant means of helping had left her thoughts and she was now trudging back towards their denning area. She ignored their grunts and humps as they trailed behind her, shoulders slumped low in defeat as she limped forwards. She knew that she would have to check her act soon, but she didn’t let it affect her way of thinking at the moment. All she needed was some sleep, without the interruption from a bad nightmare. Her golden fur seemed as if it were still stained with blood, though she knew it was only dirt. Sometimes she still felt as though she was swimming in her pool of blood, and even now she struggled to ignore it. When they arrived in the area she had been seeking she spoke calmly, "Put her in my den and make her comfortable." Her command left no room for argument and with that she left to her own den, in need of some deep sleep.
