She had walked back to the Willows with Craw, walking comfortably shoulder to shoulder and realising just how much she would enjoy this new found partnership. When she finally crossed her brothers trail she accepted the way he tucked her head under his jaw before she managed to break free and sneak a cheeky swipe of her tongue across his temple (even if she did almost have to jump to reach it). He couldn't have expected to retreat without some small retaliation.
She watched as he headed back towards the den, the ghost of a grin fading as she set her tired mind to the task at hand, easy in her movements and contemplating just where they would go from here. It was such a small thing it wouldn't be discernible to anyone else, but she felt a shift in the way she wore the silver wolfs scent on a deeper level than she had before their talk. It helped to strengthen her resolve, she knew she was doing what was right - for her and her children, and that was all that mattered. She surprised herself with her change of heart, so sudden and yet not. She had been thinking of leaving since before she was even handed leadership. Even back then she had known this wasn't hers, never would be, and it was still quite clear some of their longest serving members, ones who should have seen just how hard she had worked to earn her position still thought her unworthy.
Fuck them all. They could make all the excuses they wanted. She was going to make progress. "@Skoll?" she called to the darkness, concerned tone well and truly concealing just how few fucks she had to spare for the message she was about to deliver. In her own mind, these were no longer her monkeys, and this was not her circus.
