-----

For whole day now Garmir had been following what little leads he could find to carefully trace Triell's path towards what seemed to be the mountains. He had promised to find out for Treyah what had become of her father and up until now Garmir had been confident he was getting close.

Then the scenery changed. As he begin to climp higher and higher along The mountain base, suddenly before him opened a scene of destruction. Bent trees, broken branches, huge piles of snow covering his view everywhere ahead of him. There had been avalance and everything that had not been deep rooted to the ground, snow had swept away. Triell's trail ended here but had the snow claimed him too, or had this happen after he had gone through here?

Garmir took a moment to decide what to do. He could try to circle around and try to reconnect with @Triell 's trail to see if he had made it. If the old man was under the snow, there was no way Garmir could easily find him. The scents were too mixed and the area was too large. He looked around, listening at first, and then decided to try calling him. He howled, calling for Triell by name, but only response he got was his own echo bouncing back from the mountain...

Tulip had yet to leave the pack's boarders since joining, but today the yearling had been sidetracked. While patrolling the boarders a familiar smell reached her nose, one she knew from living on the mountain, but had yet to see. The scent of mountain goat had lured her away, nose down, in curiosity. Tulip paid little attention to her surroundings as she trotted down the path, weaving through and about any trees if necessary. Halting to look up only as a broken tree caught her attention, lemon eyes surveyed the landscape to see many many broken trees. Both confused and intrigued her maw hung agape.

It was as if a giant had came through and left a huge mess, but the yearling was only briefly sidetracked. Picking back up on her trail the girl was brought to a point in which the smell ceased but a greyish hoof poked out of the snow. She inspected it, eyeing it to the point she became cross eyed. Tulip nudged the hoof, revealing a stiff leg. With a now furiously wagging tail she begun to dig into the snow with hopes of bringing something back to show both @Kajika and @Moonshadow. Maybe she could even impress at @Solas.

An unknown voice called up and through the sky, the girl jumping back in shock. She cowered, as if her melting form would dissolve into the powdery white. Who was that? After a moment of silence, the howl echoing across the mountains, Tulip tested her bravery. With a shaky tune the girl's voice rose and drifted, not nearly as confident or loud. Tulip wanted to know what stranger thought of himself to draw close to her home...if they were even close. She looked around and wondered how far she had traveled away and found herself cowering even more so. Tulip felt that she had been foolish to answer, but it was too late now, and she could only hope that one of her pack mates had heard her. Even if it was @Bastet or @Birtie to respond the girl would've been happy...It wasn't like she was going to be able to haul the whole carcass home anyways.

Tulip has a speech impairment that causes her to talk with a severe lisp and has selective mutism. I will not be writing her words to reflect this (outside of going mute), but ask those who roleplay with her to understand it's implied.

Garmir had hoped for answer, but what he heard in response to his howl certainly wasn't Triell. The voice was more femine and far more sheepish. It came somewhere higher. Right now, his only lead to find Triell ended here, so he had to investigate the scene further and perhaps talk to someone whom might have noticed something. That voice replying to him was next obvious path and Garmir begin to climp the heaps of snow higher, towards the voice he had heard.

The snow felt packed under his paws, much more solid than what it was lower, making his climp somewhat easier but also raising concerns. If the old man had been buried under there somewhere, digging his way up from dense snow might prove a challenge. Garmir could think of few deaths worse than this, being buried alive.

Now where was that little... Garmir's keen eyes searched the scene as he continued to climp, trying to spot whomever had been calling him. There were so many scents lingering in the air it was difficult to find that of an wolf among them, scent of tree sap from broken branches especially dominating the scene. There were few places to hide among the destruction and thus Garmir could not outright spot the cowering youngster. He thought he was close, feeling that pair of eyes were upon him and so he called again, loud and clear. "Come out! I won't hurt you. Just want to ask few questions!"

Tulip had spent her time building her confidence while he searched for her, prepping her words over and over within her mind. The yearling also had made up her mind to the defend the mountain goat carcass at all costs. Her pack would need this as far as she was concerned, not to mention...maybe she would finally be taken out of lowest. The girl was beginning to understand things around here, and she didn't truly care too much about her rank, but impressing her alpha's was a huge deal to her. She wanted to make them happy with her.

The man's frustrated words drew her out, tail raised and shaking violently behind her. Her posture looked confused between that of dominant and submissive, "No, I-I ask! W-whee ne Cove?" Despite being nervous, the girl was clearly protective of her home. Her eyes narrowed into slits as she awaited the male's answer. Perhaps his intentions now were truly not to hurt her, but what about her Cove? Would he steal from them or hurt them? Would if he knew the treasure just a mere foot or two behind her? It was the pack's mountain goat...not his. The defensive yearling rose a little more, straightening out her stance some.

Garmir had half expected to see some kind of pup come out of hiding, but this... this was a whole different cookie. At fist he took her stuttering as some kind of speech impairment until he suddenly realized that she was actually trying to act as a guard and... oh wow, order him around? Garmir stared at her blanky for a moment, so confused by her display that he did not even have time to smile at how cute that sight was to his eyes. She was clearly trying to act brave but he was almost certain that if he suddenly sneezed loud enough, she might turn tail and start running - and if she was running away from him, he could not ask questions from her.

So, Garmir played along. Lowering his ears against his skull and then accepting more submissive posture, even his tail tugging between his legs, he tried to act sheepish, just to make her more confident. "Wow.. hey hey.. I don't mean any harm, just... looking for a pack mate. Did you see what caused this mess?" -He explained, managing to even change his voice a bit from his usual rough tone into more.. boyish tune. Perhaps she knew what might have triggered the avalance and perhaps even better, she might have met Triell.

Only now did he realize that Garmir might have crossed a border. If there had indeed been one, it would have now been under piles of snow. Was she actually Guarding a pack territory.. or something else. Garmir tried to look behind her. "I... am I trespassing, miss?"

(Them meeting is so huge <3 )

The wolf's submission reminded Tulip of a cowering wolf, moments before death, and she calmed. Still nervous and on edge, she lost her dominant posture. If he moved too close though that would be another story. The little shadow shook her head. Tulip too wondered what had caused all of this, but wasn't too overly concerned. Her pack was safe from whatever had happened and that was what mattered to the ebony girl. Tulip's tail took on a slow stiff wag, "It oookey." She cooed, voice trembling from her own nervous state.

The poor wolf had lost someone, the girl looking around briefly before speaking, "Tulip no wonder far." Hopefully that would get the point across to the seemingly submissive wolf. "...Tulip...." She looked around, realizing she never really left the pack, "No.Tulip no alone!" Her voice was stern now, making it clear in her voice that just because she was small he would not be successful in turning on her. Nor was he getting her prize. That mountain goat was meant for her pack and not some stranger. "Who?" She asked with narrowed eyes.

Solas ColdHeart
OOC: Just going to slip him in here. :)

He had slipped out of the territory to look and see where the goats had run off to and had wanted to have a chance to explore the mountain again. Solas didn't expect to hear a wolves voice to rise into the sky. Nothing surprising really but the voice that answered it was what made him pause. Tulip. He wouldn't doubt that it was her that have responded in such a shaky way. Why was she outside the pack's territory though? A frown stretched across his face before he turned to go investigate.

It took him a while to find her...and the wolf that was with her. Head low the stormy male stalked forward eyes narrowing as he slowly made his way down towards them. The other wolf was submitting but he Solas still didn't like it. He didn't hear what the stranger said but he heard Tulip's voice, unusually forceful saying that she wasn't alone. True, she wasn't anymore but she had been. She went on to ask 'Who?'. The stormy male didn't know what would make her ask that question so he would have to wait and see how the other male responded. Solas noticed the goat the was buried in the snow and he blinked at it before focusing on the conversation that was being had as he walked. The goat explained why Tulip hadn't run off yet and why she was trying to be dominant.

Snow crunching beneath his paws he walked up beside his packmate's smaller form. She isn't alone. He rumbled softly as he stared at the stranger with narrowed eyes. An obvious warning in his gaze. Just what had he been planning to do if she had been alone?

Alright, she did seem to have some kind of speech inparity and even him playing more submissive did not seem to change that. The youngster was still visibly nervous, that much Garmir could tell, but he could not really make himself anymore smaller or sheepish, try as he might. She kept repeating Tulip over and over again in almost everything she said and Garmir presumed this was her name. He replied to her, still softly but no longer whispering. "Tulip is your name? Hello Tulip, I... my name is Garmir. Im really nice fellow I assure you. Nothing to be nervous about." -He tried to ease tension between them for the sake of forwarding conversation.

Just about then he noticed another wolf appear and take his place next to Tulip, this male clearly posing a bigger danger and appearing far more confident than what the shaking yearling did. Garmir's gaze turned on him now instead, the earthen male not dropping his eyes off him for a second as he replied to her question, his voice more tense now but his overall posture still pretending to be submissive. "Triell.. is his name. He is my pack Elder. Do you know him?"

Two strangers was more of an threat, but still, Garmir was fairly confident he could take on both at once. The yearling was perhaps... worth half an wolf if it came to a fight and Garmir would take those odds any day. Still, avoiding conflict was his priority for he was scouting after all. He also wondered if there were more in waiting.

Tulip DayHeart
The small girl was caught off guard, the world becoming surreal. Stuck in a daze her mind whorled about in a mix of memories and strong emotions. Her chest swelled with an incomparable excitement. Thoughts of Eden swamped her, how he saved her, taught her a few things, their time together. He showed her something different than other wolves. He was different, gruff, but in his own way a gentle giant. Her heart beat now with a new fury. Eden saved her...he was the reason she was here in a new home, happy and safe. Eden had given her so much and only asked for what seemed like so little in compassion.

Tulip acknowledged Solas's approach, briefly looking over at him and licking under his chin. A part of her eased, the tension in her shoulders releasing. Solas was here now and if Garmir was not good like Eden claimed she had him to back her up. He was there for her and she appreciated such things. Looking back to Garmir she tried to find the words, the shock of meeting him holding her back. With a mighty sigh the girl cleared her throat...she could do this. Why was she so nervous? This was her moment to pay Eden back!

Tulip's tail swayed behind her, her voice growing more and more ecstatic and confident as she spoke. Her debt to her amazing savior would be fulfield, "Garmir...Eden...he...Eden save I. Eden tell Tulip to tell Garmir that...Aneia? Aneia prin-prinnn-prinnnncesses. Aneia princesseseses. No kill Aniea" She spoke awkwardly then her eyes widened and her voice grew serious, "Grevious. Silver peak Extension. Bad. Bad bad wolf. Garmir tell Greater pack." There was grave urgency in her voice, the yearling nodding her head feverously.
