The Twelve Days of RoWmasRelic Lore is thoroughly blanketed in snow now, and things are starting to feel festive around here. To spread a little more cheer, we present to you an advent calendar with only the littlest of catches - to claim your prize for the day, you have to make one post! If you collect enough prizes, you may earn a bonus or two as well!
Guidelines- Starting tomorrow, December 14th and ending after Christmas day, December 25th you can claim a prize for your first post of each calendar day.
- To do so, fill out the form below and post to this thread. Make a new post each day rather updating an old post to ensure it is seen. Posts may be deleted once confirmed by staff.
- Each day's prizes will be revealed the following day and posted to this thread. For example, prizes for the 14th will be posted on the 15th. Some prizes may take additional time (a few days) to be completely fulfilled.
- Players who redeem 6 or more prizes will receive a bonus prize, and players who manage to redeem all 12 prizes will receive that and a second, ultimate bonus!
Disclaimers- Claims have a grace period of 3 days, and no longer. For example, if you posted on the 16th, you have until the end of day on the 19th to claim the associated prize. Once it is the 20th, that prize will no longer be available.
- Deadlines for this event, as with the majority of staff events, are set by Eastern Standard Time.

Superlative Voting 2024Here it is! Per the results of our poll, the upcoming yearbook will be Tarot themed, and that influence is starting now. Superlative voting is officially open, so go pick who you'd like featured in the RoW-edition deck!
Remember that if you are not able to use Google Forms for any reason, reach out to staff by PM'ing the Spirit of Wildwood so that we can accommodate you.
Sitewide SuperlativesDue by: December 17th 22nd
All characters, players and packs that were active at any point after January 9th, 2024 are eligible to be voted for, except where denoted otherwise. Threads must have been started between those dates to be eligible, not just posted to. Only have votes for a couple categories, maybe even just one? Please still submit them! Left a category blank, and now have the perfect candidate in mind? Just submit a second form! Votes cannot be changed once cast; if a category is voted for twice, only the first vote submitted will be counted.

If you had a character in any of the packs above at any point from January 9th, 2024 on, you are eligible to vote on that pack's superlatives! All characters who were a part of the pack at any point from the same date are eligible to be voted for in that pack's superlatives.

Yearbook 2024 PreparationWe are officially coming up on Ruins of Wildwood's 12th active birthday! It has been a long ride, and much has happened in this most recent chapter. We're counting on you guys to help us piece it all together for our upcoming yearbook covering the chaos that has been 2024!
Please look closely at the dates provided below, as they are different from the previous year.
Yearbook Theme VotingDue by: December 1st
This year, we would like to have an official theme for the yearbook that has been chosen by you our members. The theme will be incorporated into the artwork, such as skins and flair, to help them be even more meaningful and commemorative of our shared stories. Give us your ideas by posting here to this announcement! Suggestions are only being accepted through the 23rd; voting will begin on the 24th and end on December 1st.
Superlative SuggestionsDue by: December 1st
We of course would also like to know; what kind of superlative titles would you like to see this year? What classics do you want brought back? Let us know your thoughts by posting them to this announcement! Even if someone has already named what you were thinking of, please still post; the more 'votes' for a certain title, the more likely we will be to include it. If wanted, you can find some inspiration by clicking here to go through the previous yearbooks. Suggestions are only being accepted through the 1st; superlative voting will begin on December 2nd and end on December 17th.

These threads will also be used to field suggestions for Pack Superlative categories, will only be taken through December 1st; voting will begin on December 2nd and end on December 17th.

When summarizing this year for Relic Lore as a whole, what events do you feel should be included? Please post any and all suggestions to the general Timeline Submissions Thread. This will ensure that important events are properly commemorated in both our yearbook and our site library. New 'RANK' Prefix for Threads
It is now possible to select 'RANK' as a prefix for in-character threads. Please utilize this tag when a thread may result in a change in pack ranks, regardless of the why-and-how. For a non-exhaustive example, it should be used in the following situations:
- Rank challenges & capitulations
- Shifts in leadership
- Demotions and banishments
- Leaving a pack
- Role assignments
While it covers a broader range of events, this particular prefix is just as important to consistently utilize as the 'JOIN' prefix; it signals that the thread is both a priority and an impactful IC event, as well as helps in keeping pack leadership and staff informed so that they can more efficiently perform their duties. Remember that prefixes can be changed at any point in a thread to reflect whatever turn of events might occur.

Halloween 2024Happy Halloween month, everybody! Staff are once again feeling pretty ~spooky~ and wanted to spread the love to all of our members here at RoW! There are multiple ways to participate and earn yourself some sweet LP boosts throughout October.
Trick 'r TreatEach character can claim one surprise, Halloween-themed Random Event by using the code below to pick a Trick 'r Treat bag. Threads completed using these prompts can earn your wolf 15 Life Points! Threads must be started no later than October 31st to be eligible. Replace the pound sign ('#') with the number of your chosen bag and post to this thread.

Pumpkin PickingHidden around the site are 9 pumpkins that look just like this one  , ripe for the picking! When you find one, hover over it to see a letter. Collecting every letter will allow you to unscramble a secret word that you can then send into Spirit of Wildwood via PM. Submitting the correct answer before November 1st EST will earn one character of your choice 5 Life Points for being a Master Pumpkin Hunter![/dohtml]
Please note, it is a good idea to double check where your letters are coming from as sometimes the same text appears multiple times on the site from the same code. For example there are multiple ways of getting to certain library articles, territory descriptions, gossip wall, calendar etc. The letter only counts once from each location, even if you found it in multiple different ways.
SoW DropsTo top it all off, the Spirit of Wildwood itself will be dropping horror-themed prompts throughout the month in the form of posted thread-starters. These are eligible for 15 Random Event Life Points, but only if they're grabbed up before November 1st EST! Once October ends, any lonely Drops will be archived.
Current Drops:
Loner DocksLast but not least, this is your official reminder that Loner Docks will be returning on November 1st! A small change from previous years, rather than wolves receiving docks every two weeks, docks will only be run once a month. Any wolves who are not in a pack nor the focus of an active Join thread will lose, or be docked, 5 Life Points on the first of every month from November to March (the final check running March 1st).
Characters who hit negative LP should be considered to be struggling severely to survive, and will receive a warning from staff alerting them that their character is in the negatives and what steps can be taken to prevent dropping lower. Once a character is at -10 LP they will be considered deceased. Wolves who are members of active packs or who have an active Join thread (OOC Joins included) will not be docked any Life Points. There will be a 2 week (14 day) grace period for new characters who have joined within 14 days prior to the first of the month. This applies only to new characters, not characters that were reactivated following an activity check.

Pack UpdateSanguine Cove Disbands
We say a goodbye to Sanguine Cove as the remaining members embark upon a new journey! Originally founded on 3/16/2021, back in RoW's first year reopened, Sanguine Cove was well established and provided the board with many long-lasting storylines.
Best wishes and we all watch for future stories just as eagerly!
Note: 'Remnants' of Sanguine Cove might still exist until an admin is free to housekeep on the back end!
