  Welcome New Staff
Posted by: Spirit of Wildwood - Feb 17, 2018, 09:02 PM - Forum: News Desk - Replies (6)

Welcome New Staff

At the end of January, we put out an application seeking new staff members. The RoW community responded in spectacular fashion and we've had a tough time wading through all of the applications. We'd like to thank everybody who applied and encourage everyone who was interested in a leadership role to continue to contribute to the site's development by weighing in on member discussions and making suggestions.

We would also like to thank Ace for her long and valuable service. She's been a moderator for a long time and has been a champion in making sure the LP requests were done on time and dead threads were cleared away appropriately. You will be missed, Ace!

And without further ado, we would like to welcome Becca (@Kerberos), Arla (@Lachesis), and (back) Ghost (@Aponi). Congratulations and we're looking forward to working with you. :)

We'd also like to remind everyone that Breeding Season is just around the corner and we will be making an announcement with this year's process and rules soon.

  We're Hiring & Pack Changes

We're Hiring & Pack Changes

First of all, Happy New Year, RoWers! 2018 on RoW is off to an incredible start - we just broke the 120,000 post mark. That is absolutely incredible and we're looking forward to seeing what this year has in store. To kick us off, we have a few changes we would like to announce.

We're Hiring!

First, some sad news. Ace (@Reyes) has been an instrumental part of our staff team for a very long time, but all good things must come to an end. In preparation for her upcoming graduation, Ace has decided to step down from her staff position. We are very grateful for all the work that Ace has done over the years, especially her ability to quickly tackle hundreds, if not thousands, of LP requests. :) Thank you, Ace!

If you're keeping track, that means the staff team is currently made up of Sarah, PuppyThief, and myself. Unfortunately, all of your stellar activity results in a lot of maintenance tasks that need to be taken care of, so we're looking to hire a few more people to join our team. These new staffers would be hired on as "Moderators" and PuppyThief is being promoted (officially) to Super Moderator.

Not entirely sure what a staff member does? Here are just some of the responsibilities that a RoW staffer has:
- Responds to Life Point requests

- Responds to Ribbon Requests
- Archiving dead threads in both the IC & OOC forums
- Reviving threads
- Dice rolls for fights
- Updates and maintains the library articles with new information, based on member suggestions and staff discussions.
- Responding to new character applications
- Answering member questions on the forum and on Slack
- Participating in staff-only discussions on member concerns, plot developments, and more

If you're interested, we encourage you to apply by filling out this this form.

We will be accepting applications until February 9th.

Pack Changes

Late 2017 and the start of 2018 is resulting in a few shakeups with RoW's packs.

- Secret Woodlands has officially disbanded. One of the oldest packs in RoW, we are sad to see them go, but are forever grateful for the impact SW and its members have had on Relic Lore's development.
- Two of our packs are currently in the process of relocating. We will announce those once the moves have been finalized.

Other Notes

On a personal note, I wanted to thank everyone for your patience with some of the slowness in staff responses over the past several months. We work very hard to make sure that all critical decisions have the feedback of all staff members and with various staff absences over the fall, our responses have not been as quick as we would like. This is something that we're really hoping to improve on with getting some new perspectives on the team.

That said, I also want to announce/remind everyone that my activity will continue to decrease over the next few months as I get closer to my wedding date in May (and then my honeymoon the following two weeks). My spare time is increasingly being taken up by projects for the wedding, and so I will be likely be slower in responding to non-urgent staff requests. I'll be putting up absences as necessary for when I won't be around at all, but I appreciate your continued patience and understanding. As always, I highly encourage you to PM the Spirit of Wildwood account if you need to PM the staff team generally.

  Pack Policies Update
Posted by: Spirit of Wildwood - Nov 14, 2017, 04:00 AM - Forum: News Desk - No Replies

Pack Policies Update

Hi everyone! Last month, we announced changes to our packs and how they can be structured and organized based on your feedback and the outcomes of the polls we held. We got a few questions about how these changes would actually be implemented and after hashing out some of the details, we have answers for you.

First, we've created a new library article in our required section of the library that outlines pack ranks and roles. We've removed the information on ranks from our "Life as a Wolf" article and moved our "Pack Roles" with more in-depth information about different roles to the optional reading section. We encourage everyone to read this new article, as it outlines how we're implementing some of the voted-on decisions (packs with 1 leader, pack with 2 same sex leaders, more flexibility amongst packs).

In essence, we are going to allow each pack to determine its own policy in three areas (# of leaders, the gender of those leaders, and the rules regarding inactivity). The options for each of these are outlined in the above article. We are asking each pack to have its own internal discussion about how they want to proceed with setting up their policies in each of these areas. Once these policies are set, they cannot be changed unless the majority of the pack votes and agrees on the changes.

The biggest change we want to highlight is we're separating out the I. rank and the Leader role. This opens it up for there to be a II. Leader or a I. Subordinate, which will help us make the adjustment to having packs with 2 leaders of the same gender or in situations where there were awkward gaps at the top of the hierarchy because there were no eligible wolves to promote after a leader went inactive. The added bonus to this method is that we don't have to make any changes to our current rank tables and how they're displayed.

A few additional changes to be aware of:
- Yearlings will no longer be promoted to leader if there is no eligible adult available
- Leaders who miss their AC requirements will lose the "Leader" role, but not their rank.

Leaders!
You will be responsible for determining your pack's policy going forward and having the relevant discussions. Once you've decided, you'll be asked to post that information in your pack's public library article so everybody can see it and in the Leaders only forum in a thread that we'll be creating to keep track of it. It is your responsibility to keep it up to date if it should change in the future.

If you have any questions about these changes or anything in the new article, don't hesitate to ask us and let us know so we can clarify!

Rules Updates & Trick or Treat
Posted by: Serach - Oct 23, 2017, 01:18 AM - Forum: News Desk - Replies (27)

Rules Updates & Trick or Treat

After a few months of very good discussion amongst staff and our members, we've settled on updating several of our policies. We've outlined them below. Please note that we are still in the process of updating our library and FAQ to reflect these changes, but are working on that as quickly as we can.

2 Week Waiting Period & Free Pass System
Players are no longer required to wait 2 weeks between bringing in new characters to join the game. You may join as many characters as frequently as you wish. Likewise, should multiple characters go inactive, you are free to bring them back all at the same time and no longer have to keep track of when you've used a "free pass". However, we ask that you be honest with yourself and your RP partners - if you're frequently dropping multiple characters in an activity check, you probably shouldn't be playing that many characters at once.

Puppies
Now, characters as young as 8 months will be allowed to join the game. Puppies who go inactive before 8 months will be treated like any other character who goes inactive and will no longer be at risk of dying if they are not adopted within 2 weeks of going inactive. The parents are solely responsible for managing the activity requirements with their adopters - staff will no longer be notifying parents when their pups have gone inactive.

Adoptions
We ask that if there are any activity requirements attached to adopting a character, that the person putting the character up for adoption makes it clear in the application so all potential adoptees are aware of it. In the event that you need to take the character back, staff will ask for proof of the agreement. We suggest taking a screenshot when the adoption profile is posted.

Word Count Lowered
The site's word count has been lowered to 100 words. This is the minimum we expect from posts that wish to claim LP. Posts that are consistently shorter than 100 words will not be awarded LP.

Level of Knowledge about Relic Lore from Outside Wolves
Unless your character has a direct tie to Relic Lore (by knowing somebody who has lived here), they will only be allowed to know vague knowledge about the place prior to joining the game. We'll be updating the library to make this less ambiguous and clear to new players.

Gray Area with Powerplaying Rules
The rulebook has been updated to make it clear that while powerplaying isn't generally allowed, individuals may make exceptions. We ask that if you do allow your character to be powerplayed, that you indicate how and to what extent in your signature so others are aware.

Thread Completeness
We ask that to make it 100% clear for staff when we're checking for LP, that the last person in the thread please indicate with a note that the thread is complete. Whether that means putting a "Fade out" or literally putting "Thread Complete", doesn't matter to us, just make it clear so that if it's a situation where the conversation kind of fades out, but nobody physically leaves, we don't have to guess if the thread is done or not.

This is also a reminder that threads are not able to be claimed for LP until they have been archived.

PG-13 Rules
Threads with mature topics (including sexual topics or suggestions, violence and gore) should have the thread title marked with either {M} or {Mature}. We also ask that individual posts that include mature themes also include a marker at the top so that way if somebody clicks on the thread from the new post list, they get a warning that they might miss if they don't start at the top of the thread.

RoW has a very diverse community and the capacity for different mature topics varies greatly. We ask that you be sensitive to your fellow players and err on the side of over warning rather than not at all.

Wolf Subspecies
The guide will be updated to indicate that any subspecies of wolf is allowed so long as they could reasonably survive in Relic Lore and it makes sense for them to be here. This means that the Mexican wolf is allowed, while the Eurasian or Maned wolves are not.

Characters based on fictional works
This is not encouraged, but we will no longer be asking characters to change if we feel they follow too closely an existing character in other works.

Character Personalities & Disorders
We didn't bring this up for conversation, but this has been an issue that we've increasingly dealt with over the past year, so we're going to make this explicit in our rules going forward. We ask that if you want your character to have some kind of disorder or disability, whether physical or mental, that it be something that wolves can realistically have (ex. Wolves can't have synthesia).

We also ask that if you are going to play a character with a disorder or disability, that you be considerate and respectful of the fact that a disorder is not the sole trait of a character's personality. For example, a character with ADAH should not only have ADAH listed in their personality section. Conflating a disorder and personality is incredibly disrespectful to people who have those disorders in real life, so if that's the only part of your character that you've considered, we ask that you reconsider what the purpose of your character is.

Remove Negative LP Docks
Negative LP docks have all been removed. This means lone wolves will no longer be automatically deducted 20 LP every 2 weeks. We've also removed the Lone Wolf Tracker. Likewise the other few negative LP docks that existed were removed. All characters' LP have been recalculated with the negative LP removed.

Profile Fields
We've removed the den field and made the height, width, and length fields optional. In their place, we will be adding a "description" field in conjunction with physique. These will be things like "Bulky, Lean, Lanky, Chunky, etc." If you have a suggestion for these, please respond to this thread and let us know.

LP Updates
Staff are still discussing what LP changes will be made as a consequence of the changing word count. Until we announce any changes, the system will remain in place as is.

Pack Flexibility
There were a lot of suggestions made about how we can make packs more flexible. These changes are still in the process of being implemented in our library and the rank system, but can be considered to be in effect as of now.

- There can be two leaders of the same gender.
- Packs can exist and be created with only 1 leader.
- Pack leaders can assign roles at their own discretion.
- Packs can have their own custom roles. However, pack leaders are responsible for updating their pack library articles to reflect what these are and help to maintain a "translation", so all players can quickly see what the equivalent role might be in another pack.

What does this mean for rank challenges?
If a pack is led by 2 males, for example, and a subordinate wishes to challenge up, they may pick either leader to challenge. This applies in all packs, even in ones that are led by both a male and a female.

All of these changes are likely to have varying impacts on the game, and we appreciate your patience in their implementation and the discussion period, as well as your continued patience as we continue to make tweaks to smooth out any issues that might arise from these changes.

Trick or Treat

A Halloween tradition here at RoW, the infamous Trick or Treat bags are back. What kind of ghosts and ghouls will your character find lurking about Relic Lore this year? You decide by picking one of the 15 bags below. Inside each of them is a different random event - themed around either a trick or a treat. With only 15 bags, it is expected that some characters will receive the same random event, and we encourage you to take advantage of that opportunity and thread together - maybe with somebody new!

Unlike previous years, we won't be awarding a ribbon for the three threads completed first. But all threads completed will be eligible for Random Event LP, so long as they are started before November 1st.

When requesting, please make it clear who the bag is for.

  OTMs + A Contest!

Congratulations Arla and Namir!

Of the Month Winners for August!

Hahaha whoa I'm behind!  We do not currently have any prizes for OTMs, sorry loves.

Congratulations to Arla for winning MOTM for August 2017!  Arla was simply stunning this past August; she's certainly kept us on our toes with both of her leaders, Greer and Lachesis.  The grey ghost has had plenty to deal with after Kisla's recent death, including wayward puppies, rumors, and unhappy subordinates.  Despite all this, he's managed to keep Hearthwood River alive -- and it's one of our most active packs.  On the opposite side of the mountain, Greer has been kicking up some dust and really working on his social skills, and is still just as fun to read as he's ever been.  We can't wait to see how Arla and her boys handle all the upcoming fall fun!

A relative newcomer, Namir, has taken the northern half of RoW by storm and taken WOTM for August 2017!  The wily thief goes by Little Crow and is the daughter of the deceased Desideria and is on a quest for vengeance -- find her mother, and find these wolves who her mother chose over her.  She hasn't found the wolves she's looking for, yet, but instead has paired up with Saros for one successful raid on Wild Rye Fields, and a failed attempt on Hearthwood River.  The daring duo are making their way further south -- have they learned their lesson, or will Little Crow soon strike again?

Congratulations Becca and Muses!

Of the Month Winners for September!

Actually on time, whoa!

Congratulations to Becca for winning MOTM for September 2017!  Becca has been blowing us away with her sheer awesomeness this past month, keeping a whopping 11 wolves active!  Holy cow!  On top of this, Kerberos has been doing his best to keep Charred Ash Draw afloat after Naira's mysterious disappearance, and Piety has become the heavenly queen of The Rock Whitestone Monadnock whilst keeping an eye on the lowlands in whole.  Hawthorne has been an adorable bundle of joy, and Saros has found himself few friends, and far more enemies.  Becca's threads are always a total trip to read, immersive experiences, and she writes such great characterization.  Congratulations again, Becca!

Brand new to RoW, Muses made a great first impression and has become WOTM for September 2017!  The young wolf quickly found her way to Fallen Tree Cove, and has become quite active within the ranks.  Clearly, her hard work has not gone unnoticed!  A truly unique character, she'll now get to test her strength and will as she steps up to become alpha of FTC shortly after joining with Moonshadow's disappearance.  Good luck!

Autumn Is (Almost) Here!

It's time to pumpkin spice things up!  Now that summer craziness is at an end, it seems like a good time to get things rolling along here again.  But what does that mean?  Well, we'd like you, the players, to tell us!  What we're looking for are contests or board wide plots (BWP) -- or any other types of ideas you might have! -- to encourage posting activity.  Remember, most players have "other lives" outside of RoW, so we want to give enough time for everyone while making sure it doesn't go stale.  What's in it for you?  Why, seeing your cool idea implemented (and getting credit for it, of course!) -- and if possible, potentially having a hand in activating it!

  Site Discussion: Rules & Changes

Site Discussion: Game Rules & Policy Changes

Hi everyone,

As you all know, Ruins of Wildwood recently celebrated its 7th birthday. Over the years, the game has evolved and changed in ways that I never would have believed possible. Some of these changes have been really positive and have led to better storylines and player experiences, while others have been not so great and led to confusion and frustration. We want to open up a discussion about some of these frustrating policies and work towards solutions that meet the needs of the community.

We also want to address these issues because we, as the RoW staff, have been struggling with finding the balance of when to leave our existing policies alone and feeling like we need to adjust them because somebody brought up X situation. Several times throughout the years, we've been accused of micromanaging the game, which is something nobody (including us) wants. It's exhausting for everybody involved, and so we want to do away with or clarify some of the policies we have that create the most confusion.

Our goal in doing this is to, hopefully, create a more laid back, member-driven game that would recapture the simplicity of the early days. The game should be able to run more or less the same without staff involvement, because we trust that our member base is mature and has the site's best interests in mind. This game exists for all of you. The following items are an attempt to capture some existing rules or policies that infringe on or complicate our current vision for the game, and some ideas for alleviating these issues.

Game Rules

Most importantly, we need to get our game rules in order. Sarah and I have put together a list of the site's game rules and realized very quickly that even though our "official" rules in the library only have a handful of things on it, there are actually a lot more unwritten rules than we realized. Our goal is to simplify this list and have an updated library article with the game rules in their entirety to make it easy for all of us to refer to game policies.

There are several rules highlighted in yellow that we feel could be discussed and revised or removed. These are:

- Removing the 2 week waiting period for bringing in new characters: This rule was originally added to prevent players from making a new character whenever a new plot idea hit them and then dropping them once they lost enthusiasm for the idea. In practice, there's nothing stopping somebody from quickly dropping a character and it only leads to more work for the staff in tracking when a player last joined the game with the character.

- Removing the 200 word minimum for posts: This is by far the biggest change we are proposing, and it is a change we very seriously want to consider and discuss because of the impact it could have. Initially, RoW had a word count of 250 which was dropped to 200 a few years ago after members' requested it. At it's heart, the rule exists because RoW is about writing, and we wanted to push people to write well thought out posts. The word count has also served as a barrier to entry - there is a certain standard of writing that we wanted our community to have and word count was one way of achieving that. But we recognize that RoW is a hobby, and sometimes it is hard to write 200 words (especially in large pack threads where your character isn't doing much but listening). Our inclination is to maintain the 200 word count for joining applications, but do away with it in game so players can post as little or as much as they want.

- Removing the restriction on puppies not being able to survive on their own before 8 months of age: For those of you who have been a member of RoW during breeding season and the start of puppy season, you know that puppies are a really big deal on the site. Only available once a year, people get incredibly excited about the prospect of playing a new character from birth with family ties to other characters. But we all know the reality of the situation - by the time the pups are actually playable in May/June/July, a lot of that excitement has died off. It is hard to play a character who is realistically limited in what they can and cannot do, and we get that. Right now, the rule is in place to try and prevent puppies from being dropped. But it adds another layer of complexity for staff when conducting activity checks, and more often than not, we are more concerned with a puppy's inactivity than the parents themselves. By removing this rule, we're proposing that puppies are treated like any other character who goes inactive. If parents want to take their inactive puppy back, they need to work that out with the adopter themselves.

- Removing the rule that a pack must have two leaders of the opposite gender: This has been a request for years, and has something we've avoided for a few reasons. These are primarily realism and technical concerns. From a technical standpoint, our rank system just doesn't allow two wolves of the same gender to hold the same rank, and from a realism standpoint, wolves of the same gender don't typically display the same level of dominance in the hierarchy (even if they're closely matched, there is usually one who is more dominant). But we're open to changing our stance on this if the community wants us too. The other thing this changes is what to do when a pack doesn't have a viable replacement for an inactive leader, which has happened many times over the game's history.

- Level of Knowledge about Relic Lore: Are characters who have never met any character connected to Relic Lore able to know details about the happenings of Relic Lore? We'd like to have a set blanket rule that can cover this, whether that means no, a character cannot know details about Relic Lore without having been there/know a character who has, or yes they can.

- Gray area with powerplaying rules: We agree that in general powerplaying is not allowed, but a lot of packs and individual members have exceptions for things that can be generally assumed. We'd like to make this more consistent for new members especially.

- Thread Completeness: For both LP and archival purposes, we require a thread to be "complete". But we don't ever define what that means. We'd like to have a concise definition that covers the whole site and applies to anything that requires a complete thread.

- PG 13 Rules: Our stance on mature topics isn't clear in our current rules at all, and we'd like to do better to clear up what is and isn't allowed. Many of us aren't bothered by things like cursing or graphic writing, but many people are. We want RoW to be a comfortable place for everyone and having a clear policy on these kind of plots and writing styles is important, and creating a standard so nobody ends up reading something they don't want to read is especially important.

- Wolf Subspecies: Originally, only species listed in the guidebook were allowed, but that has since expanded on a case-by-case basis. We want to make this more consistent and update the library accordingly.

- Characters based on fictional works: We have an unwritten rule that characters should not be based on characters in fiction, in the sense that we've turned away a literal "Hodor" wolf before who was entirely modeled after the character from Game of Thrones. However, there's limits to how much we can enforce this kind of thing and we want to know what the community think is fair.

Other Changes

We'd also like to propose some other changes to items that are not necessarily "game rules".

- Remove Negative LP Docks: This would include the lone wolf docks, docks for leaving a pack, and docks for losing leadership (as well as any others I'm missing). The purpose of Life Points was to track your character's development, not to punish anybody. These changes would apply retroactively, which means we would update all character docks to remove the negative points from their history and totals.

- Remove free pass system: Similar to the two week waiting rule between characters, this rule was implemented to let people rejoin with multiple characters at a time but limit the extent that people could serially drop/rejoin characters. Ultimately, we can't stop people from having multiple characters and this system made it more confusing than the problem needed. All we ask is that if you do have multiple characters, you be considerate of the people you're RPing with on all of your accounts. It's frustrating and hurtful when you're threading with Character A and the player stops responding with them, but posts a lot with Character B instead. By doing away with these two rules, we're relying on player's to be honest with themselves and their RP partners about what they can handle and commit to.

- Removing unnecessary fields from character profiles: These include the den location, height, weight, and length. Ultimately, we find these fields to be unnecessary and can lead to confusion. There are places in your profile to include that type of info if you find it important to you.

- Library Updates: In accordance with the changes above, we'll be overhauling our Game Rules & Newcomer's Guides to be a more accurate representation of what RoW is. These changes will be made when this discussion is concluded.

These are some big changes, which is why we want to bring them to your attention. Until we've had the chance to discuss it with the site, none of these changes are official. In terms of timeline, we'd like to move forward with the accepted and discussed changes in the next 2-3 weeks. If there are other concerns you have that are not mentioned here, we'd love to hear about them, so please let us know. We're really serious about getting feedback on these issues, so let us know what you think. Positive, negative, or neutral feedback is all welcomed and encouraged.

  July OTMs!

Congratulations Grey and Kisla!

Of the Month Winners for June!

Wow, I'm so much more on time this month!  And a huge thank you to Kydnt for providing the graphics despite being such a busy bee!

Congratulations to Grey for winning MOTM for July 2017!  Grey has been with RoW since the very beginning, and never fails to provide fascinating characters and page-turning reads.  This past month, her boys Rook and Niles have been having some relationship issues,
but nothing is ever typical with Grey, and these threads certainly didn't follow the ho-hum path!  Always going for those heartstrings, you can count on Grey to make you feel something, somehow.  Despite being quite busy, she's found a way to make quite the interesting pup out of Mouse, and she's just introduced Sawyer, too!  We can't wait to see what stories you come up with next!

In a fitting tribute, Kisla has won WOTM for July 2017, her final month on RoW.  She's been around for years now, growing up and founding both Cut Rock River and Hearthwood River with her mate, Maksim.  She's been a steadfast, if not firm, leader, and leaves behind three sons (Aleksei, Orren, and Matheo) and four daughters (Karina, Inna, Lekalta, and Risaela).  She was also the first third-generation grandparent on site when Bennet was born last season!  A mighty Tainn, we'll never forget her, and neither will her pack, as she gave her life to defend the pack den from a cougar attack.  Rest in Peace, Kisla.

Is tragedy a good look on Hearthwood River?  They've won POTM for July 2017!  Congratulations!

Congratulations Vet and Mathuin!

Of the Month Winners for June!

It's still July so...I'm not late, right?!  Have the OTMs -- and a huge shout out to Kydnt for providing beautiful art.

Congratulations to Vet for winning MOTM for June 2016!  Vet has been hard at work lately as Wraith is doing his best to wrangle the chaos he was left when becoming alpha of Whitestone Monadnock (and doing a good job of it!) in addition to raising his firstborn son.  Pip is having similar family challenges, though from a completely different perspective.  How many times have we seen an omega with a pup here on RoW?  But man, Vet really got us right towards the end of the month with a heart-pounding fight between Ophelia and Z, which ultimately lead to the demise of both.  Amazing work this month, Vet!

Congratulations to Mathuin on exploring his way right to the top of the WOTM board for June 2017!  This adorable little guy is one half of the adventuring peanut pair and spent most of the spring exploring Relic Lore with his trusty partner in crime, Astrid.  They've since settled in Quaking Vale, but who knows how long it will be until this Whitebark gets itchy paws again?  He might be quiet and kind, but he can certainly hold his own -- he's definitely a wolf to watch out for as he continues to wander his way towards adulthood.  Congratulations!

  Happy 7th Birthday, RoW!

Happy 7th Birthday, RoW!

Wow, is really all I have to say. 7 years ago, I helped to open Ruins of Wildwood alongside my fellow co-admins Rachel and Tara. Never in a million years did I think we would make a site that would stay alive and active for 7 years. It still blows my mind every time I think about it, but I'm so incredibly grateful for the journey it has been. You all have been an incredible community, and even though some of the faces are different now than they were back at the beginning, the love for roleplaying in and telling stories about the world we've created has stayed constant. No matter if you've been here for 7 years or 1 day, I want to say thank you for playing a part in making RoW what it is today. I'm looking forward to the next year.

To commemorate the event, we are proud to release our latest yearbook. You can check it out here: CLICK ME!

The yearbook is populated by content from you guys, and is filled with wonderful memories about what we and our characters have been up to the past 12 months. Along with releasing the yearbook, we'll also be switching over to a new archive for completed threads and the old archive will be closed.

Happy Birthday RoW, and congratulations everyone!

To celebrate, anybody have any good stories or memories from their time on the site (ever, not just this year). One of mine has to be reaching the 100,000 post mark this year. Our activity this winter was incredible, with drama brewing in literally all corners of the map. Even when it can have negative effects on characters (poor Serach is still crying inside like the emo child he is), it's really inspiring to see how everybody works together to make these plots happen even if they don't always go as planned.

So what are your favorite RoW memories?
